A villain in Baldur’s Gate 3 was originally designed to kidnap your romanced character, but this was changed because players didn’t like it.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, during act 3, a villain named Orin the Red kidnaps one of your companions and takes them to the Bhaal Temple to be sacrificed. Originally, the kidnapped companion was always the player’s romance partner, but this was changed because it wasn’t popular. Now, the kidnapped companion is chosen from among Lae’zel, Gale, Halsin, and Minthara, prioritizing whoever has the lowest approval rating. If none of those characters are alive and at your camp, Yenna is kidnapped instead.
