Hanwha Systems launched the first privately-owned earth observation satellite in South Korea.
South Korea successfully launched its first domestically developed and manufactured small SAR satellite on December 4th. The launch was a major milestone in South Korea’s space program, as it marked the country’s first satellite launch using a domestically developed solid rocket. The satellite is expected to be used for a variety of applications, including environmental monitoring, GIS mapping, and disaster response.
