Samsung gives users what they want, keeping the beloved physical home button after the latest free Android upgrade

Samsung phone owners get to keep a beloved notification button removed on every other Android phone after the latest free upgrade. The tech giant included the popular feature after the new Android 14 update.
Phone owners have received a major One UI update – which includes a new software version. But this time, users can access a button which is not available on other Android models . Some tech enthusiasts can access notifications at the long-press menu for app shortcuts. The useful feature allows you to see the latest notifications of any app by just long-pressing the shortcut on the home screen. But the button is no longer possible on devices with a stock version of the OS – including Google Pixel smartphones. However, Galaxy devices running Android 14 still have this feature and are set to have it in future upgrades too.
Millions of Android users are also set to receive a FREE phone upgrade – a new call button that lets you respond without talking. The innovative Samsung feature, called Bixby Text Call, has been designed to let users type a message to a caller and have it read aloud to them. It could be extremely helpful for those with speech impediments, or simply those who don’t want to chat over the phone.
